you're able to easily forget approximately approximately stupid solutions and questions, I basically thumbs down or record somebody if the respond or question is stupid or abusive. a Q or A needs to be reported two times in the past it somewhat will become a controversy with yahoo. I propose so you might study the policies for greater desirable information they could desire to respond to this question. as for the thumb issue it may desire to be a undesirable connection to the area or something. you wont get reported for this one as you're somewhat asking a question that needs a perfect answer.

You get one point when you vote. If someone gives you a thumbs down, it does not affect your points. You get one extra point per thumbs up, only if you get best answer.The point is to see if people agree or disagree with your answer. I personally do not like it, because some people may give you a thumbs down just because they have a different perspective. This happens a lot with politics threads on here. People may thumbs down your answer just because you like Obama. I won't thumbs down people just because they have different view points. I think a thumbs down should be given if the person was being rude and unhelpful and did not answer your question. If you get enough thumbs down, it will get hidden from the other answers. I have seen some hidden ones, which I thought are good answers. I also see questions about people asking what their chances are for X university. Well, someone may tell them the truth and they may give you a thumbs down because they don't want to hear it. Don't get insulted if this happens to you, I have gotten thumbs up and down and it doesn't affect me. A lot of people will get thumbs ups and downs, because people will agree and disagree. I personally think their should only be a thumbs up. Also, some people will give everyone a thumbs down so they look better. That is not a good thing to do. But again it doesn't hurt your points or ranking... Hoped I helped!

First anyone at any level can chose a Best Answer to a question they ask. They can also vote on questions up to their daily limit.

Thumbs are not votes - they are ratings to say if a person reading the answer likes it or doesn't. It has no effect on which answer is chosen or voted best.

Thumbs up counts as 1 point each up to 50 ONLY if the answer is chosen Best Answer. Any other answer to same question getting Thumbs up get nothing for them.

You need to also note that the Thumbs are abused & are not a true reflection of the worthiness of an answer. some people give a down to every answer, no matter how good it is.

To vote your daily limit click in voting above the list of questions & vote on answers ( you will see the vote button)

To chose a Best Answer to a question you have asked click the green [ My Profile] tab on the upper right side of the page ,

scroll down to the green [ My questions] tab . These are all the ones you asked & the answers they received.

You have to wait 4 hours after you ask to choose one , but do not wait more than 4 days or they will go to voting & the one that gets the most votes will be the Best Answer to your question*
