halo 3 online matchmaking question?
when i go on matchmaking, it only lets me choose to start matchmaking and i can only play a random game that IT CHOOSES for me. like the level first off, and also the type of game, such as swords or crazy king. but usually i just want to search for games in a certain level or just death match. can you help?

for depending on what you want for free for all choice rumble pit or lone wolf
for team choice i think its squad battle and big team slayer
but the matchtypes them self are chosen at random and if you dont like it you can veto but only once...
only real way you can get your type that you want is to do a custom game and invite friends
otherwise your stuck with the randomness and the bs of 4% chance of infected..

I'm guessing that you are use to the pc gaming? The majority of console games now have that system, it is called matchmaking. It really blows. The only way to choose what you play is to create a custom game, and still only your friends will be able to join. You can also join your friend's games, but it still is no good. Go back to the pc, it is superior in every way.

Unfortunately it is all random and the only thing that you can do is to veto the map and hope to get something better.

It's because you need the halo3 mythic disk or you need to get the map packs. Then you can play everything. You cam buy halo odst and get the mythic disk for free.
