Can I drink champagne that's a year old?

Wine gets better with age, champagne doesn't.

However, only one year won't change anything, you can drink it just fine. It's if you wait several years that the champagne will progressively change and eventually become more like a sweet dessert wine rather than champagne, but it will still be just fine to drink, it will simply be different. It will never hurt you, it will just lose its bubbles.

If it's Vintage Champagne, then sure, if it's only non antique cuvee, then its a might be, because the non antique, is produced to "drink now" Vintage, being bigger pleasant, must maintain longer, If it`s M & C`s "Prestige Cuvee...Dom Perignon, it is going to maintain for plenty longer. If it is unopened and has been stored in a fairly normal environment(like a closet, fridge etc) and not in the back of your car where temperatures are really, really high or really, really low....yes drinking it will be fine.

If you look at the year you'll notice that it was probably 2-3 years old when you bought it.

Its true, champagne does not age like other NON-carbonated red and white wines do.

Well im going to tell you the truth it might have lost some of quality it had when it was new but as long as it was kept cool it should taste the same

If it's unopened it should be fine. It definitely doesn't get better with age though... that is wine

They usually only get better with age as long as you didn't open it.
