Alcohol isn't on the list of things to avoid while on Keflex, though it's probably best to keep it to a minimum. If you're on antibiotics, your body is fighting something, and needs all the help it can get. Drinking alcohol tends to dehydrate you, which is counterproductive if you're trying to get better.

Many types of antibiotics won't work when combined with alcohol. Antibiotics work 4 to 10 days after you stop taking them so in reality you shouldn't drink for a week after taking antibiotics. Combining some antibiotics with alcohol will make you violently ill. Furthermore, if you are sick or recovering from a sickness alcohol will lower your resistance. Try not to drink. If you can't stop you might want to talk to your doctor who might be able to give you an antibiotic that works with alcohol. I don't know if there is one.

That's the worst thing you can do because it will counteract each other making you feel really terrible the next day.

I never recommend alchohol with medicine. But always ask your doctor first.
