What makes Madara Evil?? He sounds as if he is looking for Peace?

He is opposing of the established nations, so yes.

Well, evil is such a relative word. It all depends on which point view you're looking from.I mean, in one way he's trying to make peace... in his own twisted way. Also, he's had a quite hard life filled with bitterness. But what makes someone evil, their actions?

If my clan dissed me I'd get pissed, too, btw. But yeah, his like one of the main antagonists of the series now, so from the protagonists point of view, he's evil.

I wanted to ask the same quastion. He actually never even killed anyone as I remember. He could have obliterated any of his enemies easily but he just didn't. He trapped them in a different dimension.

But he did create the Akatsuki and his "comarades" did a lot of killings. As Nagato became Pain sort of by Madara's actions....

But I just rememberred that Madara sent the fox at Konoha. And that is what caused the death of the Uchiha clan, Sasuke's family. Madara framed the Uchiha. And the fox itself when was under Madara's control did more killings then Nagato/Pain did when he came to Konoha.

Fourth Hokage said that Madara sent the fox to konoha 16 years ago and also once before that.

The fact that the Fox knows who Madara is means that Madara has used it for sure.

Also Madara helped Itachi to wipe out the Uchiha clan, but I don't really know if that was an evil act since that stopped theh 4th Ninja war. (But if it wasn't for Madara Itachi wouldn't have to do such a horrible mission)

But then again, speaking of the 4th ninja war, Madara declared the 4th ninja war when he saved Sasuke from the Kages (when Sasuke was completely exhousted).

Madara may be looking for peace but it looks as if its "Nagato's" peace all over again. Controling everyone is not a way to find peace.

@I don't believe that Madara's brother offered Madara his eyes. Itachi said that Madara took them by force. Madara only told Sasuke that his brother offered them because if he told the truth he wouldn't gain Sasuke's trust.

He told Sasuke otherwise to gain his trust. You really think Sasuke would join him if he said "I took my brother's eyes to become stronger" ?

@ Read about the part of when Pain invated Konoha, he killed everyone in his way, he killed Jeraiya. Akatsuki killed everyone in their way (except Itachi of course). Deidara bombed everyone, Sasori poisoned, Hidan tortured others, Kakazu was hunting others for money, Kisame also was insane. The only one inocent that I can think of was Itachi and Konan (she never really did any murders as I remember, I might be wrong though)

@I am also suspicius about Madara, I think that he is responsible for Itachi's death, I think he poisoned Itachi or something similiar. Itachi was standing before Madara and Konoha. Madara's promise to Itachi was that he wouldn't touch Konoha. If Itachi was still alive Pain would never entered Konoha. Also right after Itachi died Madara siad "Now that Itachi is finally is out of the way the : 'I won't wouch Konoha is over!' " Madara wouldn't be able to get the Fox because of Itachi. Not to mention that Madara was the ONLY one who knew why Itachi really died (desiese).

that's not peace...it's same as evil, putting something in people's heart or minds without their consent

His wishes were to obliterated Konohagakure along with his clan for their betrayal. And I would guess that gathering the Tailed Demons may make people think he's only after more power though he's seemingly immortal. And his chakra is at an alarmingly high status as quoted by the Kyuubi in an interaction with Sasuke. He also took his brother's eyes and control his whole clan in the past too. And then established the Akatsuki.

Yeah, he kinda does sound like it but the thing that makes him sound evil is that...
