Ipod Nano versus Sony Walkman MP3 player?

I've never had an MP3 player and am about to buy one. I was wondering why the iPod Nano's cost so much more than Sony Walkman MP3 Players? They seem to be pretty similar...please help!

Definitely brand name there. iPods are popular so apple can put the price up and people will still buy them no matter how crap they are. In this case though the nano does have more features but its an mp3 player, who needs a video camera and pedometer anyway on a music player?? I would go for the brand that invented the portable audio player. sony. they have led the way in sound quality since the first one they made in '70s. And you can't question sony for quality.

I've had good experiences with iPod and bad experiences with other mp3s. I'd always lean towards iPod as they're the front runners and seem to have the best technology.

Look again. The iPod Nano has a whole lot of features that the Walman does not, including a video recorder, FM with live pause, built-in speaker, built-in mic, voice memo feature and a pedometer.

It's the name. Apple is a big corporation. But, honestly, I would go with the Nano...even though it's more expensive there are more features and more options for help if something goes wrong with it. I've been using Apple products forever, and couldn't be happier. Hope this helps!
