That's why they play the games Dave. The logical side of me wants to answer your question with a facial expression consisting of raised eyebrows and a bowed head because, yes, their rebuilding year will be magnified by the fact that they face the toughest competition in baseball virtually every night.

The Jays are up a certain creek without a paddle. It looks so bad for the Jays that the Orioles might do better than them in the division.

They should defect in Canada, denounce their citizenship(s) and refuse to be drafted by MLB.

what the **** Canadian money use euros? ej105 shut the **** up wow ur immature.
Listen I'm a Jays fan and I'm certain that this year will be rough for them for sure. They do have to face the Yankees and Red Sox. From the NL guess what they're facing the Phillies. I agree a lot that there's not really a number one starter. The closest thing we have to a number one starter is Ricky Romero or even Scott Richmond. The Jays rebuilding right now and the pitching staff is improving a little bit especially with Kyle Drabek on the jays. We're also rebuilding with the players on the field. But reading some of the other comments yea there's 162 games in a season and anything can happen which is why I love this sport so much.
But no matter what you can guarantee is that Toronto which is where I live no matter what support the franchises here including the Jays. So all we can do is cheer them on and hope for the best because we want to see another World Series here in Toronto. All we can do is sit back and let them do their job in hopes of getting to the fall classic.

There are 162 games in a baseball season! U get into the playoffs, and get hot, anything can happen.

They play in the same division as the Yankees and the Red Sox, and the most teams in a single division that can make the playoffs is 2 so you do the math.

The Blue Jays are basically a small market team now - or at least are being operated as one.
Could be a long, lean stretch for them in the AL East.

Yeah 2010 looks bad, but A.A. looks like a better Gm than Ricchardi was... and they aren't doomed, things will turn around for them in time here... they do have some exciting position players to watch. If they play it right, draft well, develop well and handle their money right they will be ready to be contenders as soon as Wells' contract is up.

As a Phillies fan, I was sad to see Kyle Drabek go to the Jays (although I'm very excited about Halladay), so if I were a Jays fan, I'd be pretty excited to see what he can do. He's going to be a great pitcher and fun to watch; maybe not this year, but I think you have alot to look forward to in the future.
