PS3 hard drive question?

I have one of the older 60gb ps3's, when i go to system info it shows that i have 16gb/55gb free space. which I assume means16gb of free space. what I am wondering is where did all my free space go? I have no music, pics, or videos on there. about 10 -15 save game files with about half that many trophy files, and I downloaded 1 ps1 classic thats about half a gig. Is all that space being taken for system updates and the OS? I would never have guessed that I would have even filled close to half.

when you save game data some games take allot of space, like resident evil 5 takes about 5gb check through your game save data and look at the info. You probably have a lot of huge game data files.

you would be asked to format the no longer easypersistent upon insertion into the different gadget. you could records flow which will wipe the receiving structures no longer easypersistent, even if the sending no longer uncomplicated drives contents would be preserved on the two. there is yet another decision it particularly is particularly exhausting, you may get carry of PS3 HDD Studio and use SATA cables to backup the no longer easypersistent contents on your computing device no longer easypersistent, in case you are trying this for the two you could then fix the generated HDD photos to the different no longer uncomplicated drives and you could desire to have the two instruments of records intact yet on the different no longer easypersistent :)
