Ford Explorer 2001 Sport 4x4?
I need the location of the exhaust gas recirculation flow in a ford explorer sport 2001 4x4, the egr is completely dead, my check engine light is on because of it and I need to replace it, but can't find the location. Thanks.

i thought it was a 2 piece part an electrical piece on top of the valve and a base steel part on top of the engine. the top of the part is grey plastic and the electrical part is what we usually have to replace but if you don't see it i would have to look at one to give you any better an answer. the egr is up where you can see it(its not hidden).

Go to your nearest library and ask for Haynes auto mechanic books , look up your car brand and model , if you are lucky and you find it go to index on the back ( alphabetically ) and look up EGR

Just to give you an option. Go to your parts store and buy one. Go home and open the hood and look across top of engine while holding the new one, its usually towards front left side and mounted on top. a couple of bolts and a couple of hoses and your done.
