Why is not there a +150 speed fast bowler from Indian Punjab...?

Good point but punjabis like spinning the ball more thats why Harbhajan singh, bishen singh etc are spinners

It is quite intriguing. Take for example the case of Ishant Sharma. He started bowling with a spped of 145 kms but nowadays, he cannot bowl more than 135-140 KMs. Why?

Moreover, the Pakistani speedsters also started bowling at 140-150 KMs at their initial stages then came down in their speed. For example, Shoib Akhtar, Wasim Akram. Waqar Younis etc.

India has rarely got a bowler of +150 speed. They produce good medium fast bowlers. In recent years, India has become dependent on its left arm pacers like Irfan Pathan, Zaheer Khan, R P Singh, Ashish Nehra. All of them are of +130 speed.

good question but look at it this way indian fast bowlers may not be the quickest in the world.. but there bowling line up is made of experience and skill.. Pakistans bowling line up (the one playin aussie) has pace but in some circumstances they do not know how to use it to there capablity.

Aamer is a quick bowler.. but still young and learning.. wats my opitions be side banging it in??

Dont feel bad because they cant bowl quick they have good bowlers.. RP SINGH great bowler...

I think every bowler except Gul and Sami is from Punjab. But don tknow what is the problem in india.

speed is not the only criteria.

you have to combine speed, line & length to bowl in the right spots to take a wicket

Bcoz in india its waste of time to bowl 150+...Indian pitches are not suited for pace bowling,The faster you bowl faster it will go to fence.So there is little encouragement for seamers and thus most of them become spinners or batsman.

Don't forget, there is VRV Singh from Punjab.

paaji VRV Singh bowls at 140+ consistently. But Indian selectors didn't give him enough opportunities. Maybe fast bowlers in India are made to believe that to be selected they have to concentrate more on disciplined bowling that's why they compromise on their speed. See what happened to Munaf Musa Patel.

see pakistan known for ther bowler and we for G8 batsman when we are kid we loved to bat not to bowl bcz that tried ourselfs . so we grow up wid batting in pak they grow up wid bowling . they give more respect to bowler and we to batsman . we chant for batsman only . and to bowl wid 150+ is more important dan to bowl in accurate line & length . we lots of guys who r more gud physic dan any other . just see The Great Khali .

It is the soil of Pakistan which can be prepared for fast bowling where as Indian soil are black which cannot be used for producing fast pitches .
