A quick question for Christians...?

I,myself, am not a Christian anymore. I used to want to be a Catholic priest(some 12 years) and I studied the Bible as such.

It says in Revelations that the Rapture will occur and all true believers will be ferried to heaven. But it also says that the AntiChrist will walk soon after and attempt to destroy the earth(or however you interpret it). It also says that the AntiChrist will be opposed by people who will fight with the angels.

Now wouldn't it make sense for god to leave his followers there to defend the earth or something instead of leaving it in the hands of non believers?

Again it has been quite a few years since I read the Bible and all it's sections, so don't condemn me if I mixed some parts up :D.

Update:

Sorry, I was given a bible when I was 7ish and I read it, I may get **** mixed up because I haven't read it in for a long while. Besides because I was Catholic doesn't mean I can't read from other books.

I don't believe in Christianity, I am a wiccan. I was asking the question because I got bored.

    yeah i don't think many non believers are going to be fighting for god against the anti christ especially after god abandons them here on earth after saving the believers.

    Your story makes no sense.. you studied the Bible for years from a Catholic perspective, yet you interpret Revelation from a western Fundamentalist Protestant perspective? Rapture Theology is rejected in Catholicism.

    Eze 13:20 Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I [am] against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make [them] fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, [even] the souls that ye hunt to make [them] fly.

    GOD is against those who teach HIS children to fly to save their souls.

    Buddha there is no third coming. Jesus returns those dead in Christ arise and we meet him in the air. These will reign with Christ on earth the seventh day, The day of the Lord, His one thousand year reign on earth.

    We are the body of Christ. Jesus is our example. Jesus could have sent ten thousand angels.

    Jesus was not raptured. We are the body of Christ.

    This is the beginning of the wrath of God...God has not appointed us to wrath but to obtain salvation.
