    I certainly think she rates as a hero of any fair, free thinking American for having the guts to stand up to entrenched religion in her court case, which caused the removal of compulsory prayer in public schools. Yes.

    As to her private life, etc? It's not for me to judge.

    what's a hero got to do with atheism ..? u ppl don't half do/ say some stupid things ..that person was is a real person not sum made up sky fairy i suggest u think about that

    Yes. They all subscribe to her newsletter and tithe to her association still to this day. She earned millions off her followers as she plead for funds for the cause. And she was horribly murdered by one of her own. It's a very tragic story of the ills that continue to plague Athiesm.

    I didn't even know who she was until after I became atheist.
