I used to play a video game that involved chopping down trees in a village,buying ships ,setting up a Village?
land had alot to do with ,you had to clear it off of trees and such,points,gold,fish,ships to fight off your land etc....

Sounds like one of those Age of Empires knock offs, there are so many.
Rise of Rome, Age of Mythology, Empire Earth...
