Since there's no evidence of foul-play with Utah's missing Susan Powell?

Would atheists consistently say then that no further examination or conclusions are warranted?

Or is this just one more example that the "evidence" litmus-test is inadequate in our real world.

Susan Powell is (or was) a living human, we know that because people have seen her to know she exists. Since she has gone missing, and has not returned, people know she is missing. Therefore there is evidence to suggest that something went wrong.

We can also further speculate that there was foul play based on the behavior and actions of her husband (evidence).

There's reasonable evidence that Susan Powell actually exists, so it's not in the realm of the absurd to keep looking for her.

    A person is missing.

    Living, breathing, solid, visible, human.

That's different from the existence of a god.

People have been searching for rock solid evidence of that for years, and, behold, nothing.

Eh? someone who exists, disappeared... you go look for them until you find them or a body. What kind of a stupid question is that.
