    Apocalypse Now - I know I've seen it at least half a dozen times, and the scene by the bridge always makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck ("Who's in charge here?"), and of course, "I love the smell of napalm in the morning...".

    Loved Das Boot, too.

    The one that affected me the most, though, was The Deer Hunter - I swear I will never watch that movie again - but then I'm still an old hippie in some ways, I guess.

    And how could I forget Bridge Over the River Kwai ?
