I have just written a book. Any advice or suggestions for self publishing?
My book is a non-fiction book about the game of craps. It is intended for those who already know how to play. As a niche book, it will have limited appeal however, its message is about the mathematics of the game and how players can create betting schemes that will provide them with up to a 5 to 1 edge over the house on any given roll of the dice.
The player is treated like an athlete and must practice the skills of betting so that when at the tables, like an athlete, his moves become natural and automatic.

If the book is fiction, self-publishing is a bad idea. You won't sell any except to people who want to support you in some way, not any to people who want to read it. Whether the book is good or bad, stores will not carry it. You'll be out hundreds of dollars. There's a reason self-publishers are called "vanity presses."
Instead, work on improving that first draft (which is what you've got) until you feel it can compete at publisher that pay *you*.
