Tea Tree Oil as a lice repellent in Shampoo....?

I just bought some tea tree oil to use as a lice repellent in my regular shampoo. How many drops do you think would be reasonable in a regular sized shampoo bottle? I know some people say so many drops per fluid ounces, but I want to know around how many per a whole bottle, and should I put it in my conditioner as well?

Update:

I work for a school board and deal with special needs children that are no able to get rid or protect themselves from head lice, due to circumstances to get rid of their own lice or come from poor families, so I am doing this to protect myself as I have caught it before and it was hard to get rid of, I know this isn't a cure all , but I am taking preventative steps to help try and keep it away, so only serious answers please, and no smart comments would surely be appreciated.

I don't think that you should put too much tea tree oil in your regular shampoo, so I'd think that maybe about 10 - 15 small droplets would be good. But I'm not sure. It would depend on how big the bottle is, and that's something that you can check on the bottle somewhere, and it should say it is __ fluid ounces, or something. I'm not sure. I don't think that you should put it in your conditioner, though. I think that just the shampoo is fine. And tea tree oil is a really good lice repellent. Sorry that I wasn't much help. I hope you figure it out, though! =)

I personally wouldn't put it in my shampoo because it smells funky, but 3-5 drops per ounce of shampoo should do the trick.

You do know that the only way to keep lice away is to not use other peoples hair things..right? No oil will keep lice away.
