Is it possible to convert to Reform Judaism in Israel?

I'm Jewish but I need to do a conversion to be eligible for the law of return in Israel.

Im immigrating under the Law of Naturalization as a gentile, but want to be Reform right now, and at a later date convert to Orthodoxy.

Is it possible to convert to Reform Judaism in Israel, specifically in or near Be'er Sheva in the Negvev?

Umm...that's a question best directed to the URJ (see link below). There are Reform synagogues in Israel (I've been to one), but I don't know if their rabbis can do conversions.

[edit] A little digging turned up what amounts to a "yes" to your question, but it's complicated; see the second link.

Reform Judaism is a German movement, just as Conservative Judaism is an American movement. Judaism here in Israel derives from an older practice. If your mother was indeed Jewish (albeit any of the above), then so are you, and there would be no need to convert to Judaism, unless there is some doubt as to her Jewish lineage.

confident you is purely no longer considered a Jew. Reform Judaism isn't Judaism, that's infact an insult to Judaism, there "temples" experience like church homes, they settle for many abominations and change Judaism right into a race incredibly than a faith. in case you certainly must be a Jew, unload reform Judaism. next step is to verify a thank you to convince your spouse to believe in Judaism, as a result her changing. If she has no pastime in Judaism, then be a Noahide. persist with what you been doing, yet do no longer keep shabbat in case you been doing it. If she is interested in Judaism, then the two one among you pass see an ORTHODOX rabbi(he would turn you the two away three times) As for why human beings regarded offended with you, that's because of the fact reform Judaism has ruined many peoples lives, by using telling human beings they are Jewish whilst they are no longer. Plus being an entire insult to Hashem and all of the struggles Jews have been by way of to exist, in basic terms for reform to showup and check out to wipeout Judaism. Reform Judaism is a silent holocaust. Plus many interior the reform pass are anti Israel. the different reason human beings regarded offended replaced into in all likelihood because of the fact by using your wording you made it sound such as you have been "playing Jew" and thinking on the grounds which you maintain some mitzvots, you think of you're Jewish. If somebody believes in Judaism, they could convert, yet they could do it good, no longer attempt to cheat there way in. decide precisely what your spouse believes. that's user-friendly to refute Christianity because of the fact it thoroughly contradicts the Tanakh. yet your spouse would or won't be confident. and don't divorce your spouse just to be a Jew.

You can't, because our religion is ruled by some pathetic orthodox rabbis.. You can't immigrate unless you're orthodox (And it's a lot harder to convert to Orthodox Judaism)

If you have a Jewish mom then you don't need to bother with it, or if you meet the requirements for immigrating with the law of return, then there shouldn't be any problem. You can convert in Israel.

If you are Jewish, then you do not need to undergo conversion to Judaism. That should be clear.

If you are not Jewish and want to become Jewish, you must undergo a conversion in accordance with Jewish Law (Halakha).

Unfortunately, the Reform conversion does not comply with Jewish Law, so that anyone who recognizes the authority of Jewish Law will not recognize the "conversion" performed by the Reform movement as legitimate.
