GUNSIGHTS WITH BIBLICAL REFERENCES?

Earlier, the ADF admitted using the US-made gunsights with biblical references etched on them as they fight the Taliban in Afghanistan.

The ADF has several hundred of the sights, which are renowned by elite troops for their accuracy over long range, The Australian reports.

The gunsights, also used by US, British and New Zealand troops, have caused concern among military leaders that they may fuel views among extremists that the West is waging a war against Islam.

Are not the Taliban...muslims...

Seems we don't want to upset them too much.

What MUSLIM would recognize 64756RM3.23 as a Biblical reference (as a matter of fact, would YOU?)? Would you recognize 35935SA9.5 as a reference to the 9th Surah, 5th Ayat in the Qur'an? And the Pentagon is concerned that the INSURGENTS might see these 'serial numbers' and feel the the U.S. if waging a 'holy war'. HELLO! Guess what the IRAQI/AFGHANI insurgents are waging. A HOLY WAR! Good grief, the stupidity of our military leaders! What's funny is the Trijicon company has been doing this for YEARS and the Pentagon just found out?

Many soldiers say that seeing those biblical references are ASSURING. Besides, I was on 5 U.S. Navy ships and every night (at sea) the word was passed on the 1MC, "SILENCE ABOUT THE DECKS. STAND BY FOR EVENING PRAYER." Not one person has ever complained. Even the most foul mouth sailor would growl to those still talking, "HEY! PIPE THE F DOWN! THE CHAPLAIN IS GOING TO PRAY!" Leave it up to some morons with no life to find something to complain about and make stupid comments about.

I wrote an email to TRIJICON (and sent emails out to folks on my email list to do the same) and said, among other things, YOU GO GUYS! Christians are being pushed back into the bushes too often. It's time for us to stand up and say WE'RE NOT TAKING IT ANY MORE. In America we have the RIGHT OF Religion protected by the U.S. Constitution, not the right FROM religion.

You said, "SEEMS WE DON'T WANT TO UPSET THEM TOO MUCH." Who's WE? Don't count me in. I'm a lot smarter in this respect than those butt kissing morons in the Pentagon.

And if my words offend anyone reading this, you can kiss my red white and blue äss!
