What did Hoover, Truman, and Eisenhower have in common?

I FOUND THIS TO BE VERY INTERESTING.. I WONDER WHY IT WAS NEVER BROUGHT UP.

Back during The Great Depression, President Herbert Hoover ordered the

deportation of ALL illegal aliens in order to make jobs available to American

citizens who desperately needed work..

Harry Truman deported over two million Illegal's after WWII to create jobs

for returning veterans.

And then again in 1954, President Dwight Eisenhower deported 13 million

Mexican Nationals! The program was called 'Operation *******'. It was

done so WWII and Korean Veterans would have a better chance at jobs.

It took 2 Years, but they deported them!

And i agree with all three former Presidents. To work in this country, they need to be legal citizens.

They did what they felt was necessary at the time. And I guess it worked, I don't know.

To do that now a days would mean that the people left behind (Americans) would have to do the work, and they don't want to. At least, not for the wages offered to do these jobs. And employers do not want to pay higher wages, because that would leave them in a tight spot, financially. So, it becomes a catch 22. Employers can't pay more unless they in turn charge more for their products, and if that happens, prices go up and then working people want higher wages, and employers can't pay higher wages, and...

So, that leaves jobs that will not get done.

I see people every day, quitting their jobs, because of some "stress", such as not enough pay for the job that they don't work at very hard in the first place. They take many breaks, call in sick often, and when at work, they don't do as much as they can. So the bosses push them, and the people quit, because of the stress. These people are not really as bad off as others think, or they wouldn't quit their jobs.

If we were really that bad in our economy, people would work for half of what is offered now, and they would work hard, so that they could keep their jobs.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like illegal aliens taking our jobs either, but... who will do the menial jobs, if not them? We put ourselves into this situation, by wanting higher wages so that we could afford our toys, snowmobiles, four wheeler, SUV's and so on.

And now, we blame the aliens for our problems. Yes, they take away some jobs, but a lot of these jobs are those we don't want to do anyway. Not for the wages offered. We cant pay for our toys and fancy cars and houses, with these wages.

I, for one, am for deporting illegals, who work for under the table wages, and who do not pay taxes on these wages, since they do not have a social security card, and are working illegally. If they paid their share of taxes, it would greatly help our economy.

If we did deport them all, how many Americans are willing to do the work these aliens do, for minimal wages? You won't find many. Not unless we go into a depression, and then, we will work for peanuts. Check out your paragraph about the Great Depression. "desperately needed work"

We are not desparate enough, yet.
