    Yes, several in my state.

There is also one inside a remote area surrounded by palm trees.

There are also several in abandoned buildings.

Some people bought houses just to have the swifts build their nests in them.

Quite a lot in Perak too.

A great nuisance and health-threat to residents having to put up with the noise and droppings too.

Consumers just do not think of the dirt, saliva, feathers and droppings of the birds in the nests.....the nests are built with the saliva of the birds. Sometimes, streaks of blood can also be found on the nests.

Yes, of course. Got commercial chicken farms......[chicken is a bird,remember..]. also got 'swift' [swallow like birds] farms, where they use special sounds or music to lure them to halls with high brick walls, for the birds to build their nests ----actually they are bird-nests farms......

bird inclusive of chicken and duck i am sure every state do have such farm, i think what you are saying is the swift-let farming for edible bird nest, in Penang and Prai there are almost everywhere especially in old shop lot and abandoned building
