Where can I find fake weight plates?

I would copy the cast iron style of plate in a couple of different sizes if making a prop since they look more impressive. Glue together several layers of cardboard cut into the appropriate sized discs. Add a few extra layers as rings at the outer edge and the hub on the plates that will show. Actually only the two outside layers need to be conplete disks. The rest of each plate can be hollow. Tape the edges with masking tape and paint everything flat black. Stencil your prop plates with white or gold lettering. Large pieces of cardboard can be had for free from appliance dealers and warehouse club stores such as Costco.

No contest, the two are terrible. genuine chrome is porous, so at last it rusts. Plastic chrome chips and scratches, water gets at the back of it making it discolour, and now and lower back it starts to peel off. what's greater suitable? Hammerite paint, it won't rust and all it desires is a rapid wipe with an oily rag to repair the shine - or in line with danger greater stainless-metallic areas may be greater suitable.

Not sure what you are after but polystyrene sheet from Builder/ diy merchants can be easily be disguied and reused . Almost weightless too . Good luck !
