Is it just me or are the Saints getting more media attention than the Colts?
This is never a good idea, when team gets more attention than the other before a big game.
Arash - you can't be much of a vikings fan if you're pulling for the saints after they took so many cheap shots at farve two weeks ago. thet's the only reason the saints won. they were outplayed and outclassed by the vikes. they are not gonna get away with that sort of thing against manning in the SB.
What does katrina have to do with it, heck the manning family is from Louisianna.

Yeah, probably. You have to consider two things though. One, the Saints haven't in previous years been Playoff/Super Bowl material. The Colts are almost always in the Playoffs, and have a few Super Bowl rings already. Two, the Saints are from New Orleans. The team had to overcome incredible odds to be where they are today. When Hurricane Katrina swept through, the city was devastated. The Saints' stadium was even used for a short period of time as a shelter for those who lost their homes in the disaster. The Saints have, even though they were faced with a lot of challenges, risen to the occasion, and are proving to be a symbol of New Orleans' revival.

The Saints have only had 9 winning seasons in their ENTIRE history. Never a Super Bowl appearance. You add that with the Katrina angle and yes the media will eat it up. The media looks for the feel good story whenever they can. Just wish they would lay off the Katrina angle. They don't have to look that far for bad things. The Saints didn't even have a playoff victory until a few years back. And now they are in the Super Bowl. Compared to the Colts who won the Super Bowl just recently, 2 years ago, and it's no wonder why the media spins the angle they have on it.

Its just you. From what I have been watching they seem to go back and forth with one story on the Colts...the next on the Saints. And honestly the only important talk will be done AFTER the game...when it matters and all is decided. Dont get too uptight based on perception.
As for me....not a true fan of either but enjoy both teams so no bias and no reason to root for one over the other....great night for me!

They definitely are. The Saints fit the nature of "pre-game hype" better than the Colts do. It's New Orleans' first Bowl and there seems to be more of a general excitement (almost to a fault) among the team "just to be there."
