First off, Block Me II, please don't say that my country sucks. I can probably say the same about yours. Secondly, when I was pregnant, here in Canada, I received excellent prenantal and postpartum care. I even had a public health nurse come to my house, free of charge, 6 times in the first month that I got home from the hospital. The only complaint that I had about my care is that I was kept in the hospital for longer than I expected after I had my daughter. I expected about a 48 hour stay, but it was 3 days before I was released, since it was my first child and the nurses wanted to make sure that I was prepared for all aspects of her care.

I don't live in Vancouver, but it is consistently ranked as one of the best places to live in the world, along with Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Calgary. When it comes to the system that those who do the rankings of these places use, the only Canadian cities that would be eligible that don't rank among the top 30 places to live in the world are Edmonton and Winnipeg (although I'm not 100% sure that either would qualify based on their populations). In the most recent Mercer rankings of best places to live in the world, Canada had 5 major cities that ranked as better to live before any US cities showed up on the list (the first was Honolulu at 30). By the way, Mercer is NOT linked to the UN.

As a Canadian, I can honestly say that we enjoy a wonderful standard of living, and truly live in one of the best countries in the world. Especially during the current recession, I could not imagine living somewhere like the US where things like health care aren't protected if you lose your job. I have traveled extensively throughout Canada and the US, and I can truly say that when you go to a city like Vancouver, it is highly evident why it is one of the best places to live in the world. Same with Calgary, Ottawa, and Toronto (I've never been to Montreal). They are clean, ethnically diverse, and safe. In the city where I live, which coincidentally has one of the highest crime rates in Canada, I never lock my house doors when I'm at home, and frequently forget to when I leave. I don't have an alarm system on my house or car, and I used to work in the downtown core and get off of work at midnight, and felt safe walking to my vehicle, which was parked nearly 6 blocks away from work (I didn't want to pay for parking). I honestly think that those Americans who claim that Canada sucks have never been to Canada and have certainly never met a Canadian. If you had, you would never be able to say those things.

Government healthcare is fairer than the system of healthcare that the USA has right now. Mind you, Obama's reforms are not to bring in a system like Canada though.

It surprises me that so many Americans seem not to be aware about Obama’s healthcare plans [a]. During the election, he campaigned for these changes stating that he felt it was unfair to have a system where insurance companies try to escape paying claims and was elected to bring in changes [b].

First of all, too many people do not know that Obama wants to make insurance more available to all. His system is similar to that which works in Holland, Taiwan [c] and Switzerland. It works there and private healthcare companies provide most the insurance to the people there.

FACT - the USA spends more on healthcare PER PERSON than any other nation on the planet [d].

FACT – insurance companies admit that they push up costs, buy politicians and do not pay out for many claims when they should [e].

FACT - the US has higher death rates for kids aged under five than western European countries with universal health coverage [f].

That means that a dead American four year old would have had a better chance of life if they were born in Canada, France, the Netherlands, Cuba, Switzerland, Germany, Japan etc, all of which have universal health coverage. And no western European nation with universal healthcare has moved away from it. And the sad thing is, that the insurance companies have spent loads of money to fight these reforms [g] and loads of politicians are taking the thirty pieces of silver from them to fight the reforms, rather than fight for the health of the American people.

Remember, I back my facts up with evidence. Those who say they are wrong tend not to. If they are wrong, e-mail me with proof and let me know.

My suggestions and then some! Mexico is a pleasing united states. The Mexicans I stay among certainly seems to be proud to be from there. it extremely is too undesirable lots of it extremely is maximum hardworking and clever voters are leaving it as a substitute of staying and making it a miles better place. yet i'm specific if human beings could make super funds by technique of working in Mexico with out having to surrender their American citizenship they could be happening there and bringing their American delight with them, too.

    K then move there BYE.

Canada sucks balls and you f*cking know it.

Oh and just so you know, I am a pregnant woman and could not imagine better health care if I tried. I am certainly not rich. I want you to tell me about the prenatal care they get in Canada being better than ours becasue I see women from Canada complaining about it every day on the forums I read. They don't get a fourth of the services we do.

propaganda at its best. As for me and my house we choose the freedom to pick the insurance we want. America has been the world go to for hundreds of years but now some in america want us to change and be like the rest of the world, abandoning out history and our freedom. NOT ME.
