Snowshoe Resort, WV.......?

I'm pondering a trip to Snowshoe. I can get a really good deal on tix and they've had a bunch of snow. I'm thinking I'd like to stay slopeside so I'm looking for suggestions or experiences with the condos on-property. Any good restaurant suggestions? What about other apres-ski stuff. Also, my non-skiing wife is coming with me. How are the other activities and facilities for the non-skier?

Thanks!

as far as lodging goes, don't do the Inn at snowshoe, its at the base of the mtn. Mtn lodge is older but a great location and a little less$$. Highland House, expedition station, allegheny springs, Rimfire & seneca are all newer and a little more $$$. I prefer to stay village central, which would be better for your wife. Take all of your food if you plan on taking anything or stop in Marlin at the food store cause the general store at the shoe is basics for a premium. I'm really not a fan of any of there restaurants now that my fav closed, So I usually take my own food and cook what I want.

OMG i love it there. our whole family does! im only 30 mins away from there and it is amazing. even their regular hotel room/ apts are nice. condos are great. there is a lot of things your wife can do. they have gyms jacuzzi snow tubes everything. all the resterants are good eating too, but a lil pricey well worth it. EVERYTHING you need is there on sight. it is wonderful. Defianatly worth the trip
