Why the interest in the so called "Collins Project"?

It is but one individual with an endless number of avatars. For some reason he is very wrapped up in the Collins project. Years ago -- yes he's been asking these questions for years -- I recall there was a statement from him saying he got better answers in the philosophy section that any other section. At one point, as a joke, I along with another user started asking our own Collins questions but with a philosophical twist. Questions like: If Nietzsche was the captain of a Collins submarine would it go off into the abyss? or If a Collins submarine sinks with no one is around does it make a noise? But the joke wears thin after a while and the Collins guy has never stopped asking his inane questions. He's just a crazy adding a strange favor to the philosophical section.

It was a political "boondoggle" in Australia, a great expense to the taxpayers for a series of submarines that have never lived up to promised expectations as far as I understand.

It and the post appear to have virtually if not literally nothing to do with philosophy and those who post them get a bit testy and block those who tell them such.

Perhaps if we simply let them play their game and don't bother to encourage them by answering they will get the hint...but then again, they may be Austrailian...
