The letters "C" "E" and "S" in front of the number (E-320) stand for the trim Klass or wheelbase (Short, Economy, or Long)

CLK = Coupe (Coupe) Leicht (Light) Kurz (Short)
SLK = Sportlich (Sportive) Leicht (Light) Kurz (Short)
