How long do businesses stay closed in China during Chinese New Year?
I urgently need to reach some business associates in Shanghai - but it seems that their offices are closed for Chinese New Year! How long should I expect for them to stay closed - will they be back in the office on Monday 22 Feb, or how long do they have holidays? Thanks!!

Holidays for New Year vary. This year they seem a bit longer, most businesses are closed from anywhere from 4 days to 11 days.
Banks and Post office etc are already back open (now), at reduced hours. And alot more businesses will reopen on Monday 22 Feb.
But again there is no official length, as this is the major holiday of the year it is longer, and up to the owners of the company how long it is.
