help with my making my ps3 and 360 work with my surround sound?

so i have my satellite box and surround sound connected to my tv by hdmi and connect my ps3. xbox360 or blu ray to my 3rd hdmi port. wierd thing is if i hook up my blu ray to the port and set my home theater to aux1 the audio comes through now if i try connecting my ps3 or 360 to that hdmi port no audio comes through my surround sound on aux1 aux 2 or anything , anyone know why this is and what i can do so i can get my surround sound system to work with my ps3 and 360

    Your blu ray, surround sound and television must be the same brand. Never heard of this happening, but I know products from the same manufacturer will link themselves. You will need a receiver to pull off the rest of your goals.

    Here is the good news. You can sell your blu ray and surround sound system (keep the speakers) and use the money to buy a receiver. Your PS3 should play blu ray so you are covered (test it first).

    One you have a receiver. Plug all components into the receiver with an HDMI cable. Use one HDMI cable out to the television.
