Numbers of voters in Y!A?
Normally, it seems that the best answer is chosen by a handful of voters - at least in the questions that I look at.
I recently had a best answer where there were 84 votes - that seems an awful lot.
Any idea why some questions get lots of votes but others very few ?
Do you think there is a big Turkish or Kurdish community here ? But if so, why weren't there more answers ?

That is hard to believe that over 100 people voted on that question in languages while another one only had 1. I think there was some type of organized effort.

People might not understand some, not intrested, or don't know the answer to a question. The reason why some are popular are because it's probably a intresting question, or a pretty common answer that is easy to some people.

Wow! That's awesome.
I've noticed that it depends which category a question is in. Some categories are more popular and frequented by more people. So it looks like most people thought your answer was 'best'.

If more people answer or find it interesting, they might see their starred question is in voting, and most likely vote for their own answer or somebody else's if they didn't answer.
