Good menthol/light cigarettes available in Ontario, Canada?
Hey guys,
Due to the new Tobacco Laws, I cannot see the cigarettes which I am about to buy. So could anyone please let me know what menthols are decent which are available in Ontario.
Also, I know that "Light" cigarettes are banned in Ontario, but does anyone know what types of lights cigarettes there are? (i.e. Marlboro Lights, etc.)
Thanks!
Please don't tell me not to smoke. I know what's good and bad for me.

In Canada now there are 'premium' smokes, for menthol you want Cameo or Craven M Menthol; at lower cost but the still just the same (to me) there is No.7 Menthol or Peter Jackson Menthol.
Whenever in the US I switch to Salem as the closest match; if you want Marlboro Lights you will likely find them at any tobacconists or smoke shop but not at the newsstands.
Good luck!

Well in Canada the 'light', 'extra light',ect.. have all been banned. As the government thinks these subtypes will encourage young people to smoke. The brands that I know are Peter jackson Menthol, Export A Menthol, Accord Menthol, Matinee Menthol, Benson & Hedges Menthol, and Craven A Menthol. I am sure there are more but these are some of them, if you go into a convienience store I am sure they will show you all of the menthol cigarettes that they sell. And if they have the subtype equivalent to light. If you have a package of your Camel Lights you can compare them to the Canadian brands.

Tommy is a retard. Your lungs, your choice.
"Light" cigarettes are not banned per se, but LABELLING them as "Light" is illegal now. (because apparently our Big Brother federal gov't came to the conclusion that we were all fooled in to thinking labelling cigarettes as "Light" meant we thought they were healthy, and chock full of vitamins, and other good stuff...)
They are usually labelled by the colour of the pack. I quit a couple of years ago myself, but I believe what used to be called "Export A Lights" are now Export A Gold. (the colour of the pack) For menthol cigarettes, I can only think of Cameos. I never cared for menthol cigarettes myself, but my Dad smoked that brand for many years.
You can probably get Marlboro Lights, but they'll be even more expensive than Canadian cigarettes, as they are imports. Unless you're going to be up here for a month of Sundays, I suggest you stock up on your own brand and bring them with you. Otherwise you're looking at $12 - $14 a pack.

I don't think they sell Marlboro lights in Ontario...if they do they're probably really expensive.
