What is the single most "historic" characteristic of the Obamacare bill now being signed?

All news sources I read (including FOX News) are using the word "historic". What does that word mean to you?

It's the first piece of major legislation to pass without bipartisan support, and it's also the first bill to mandate private citizens to purchase a product on the commercial market. Scary.

Most of my fans from other countries e-mailed me to say "Welcome to the 21st Century, America!" because we were the only industrialized nation in the world to not have a plan for universal health care. The 100% coverage for preventive care is effective immediately, and this too is historic. The marvelous BACKBONE shown by my usually wimpy Democrats as well as their willingness to put PRINCIPLE over politics---now THAT is HISTORIC! All of the scare tactics used by lobbyists, big corporations, anti-anything-Obama Republicans, cult-evangelical right-wingers still pouting over their ouster from totalitarian power, or even Sarah Palin and Michelle Bauchman, with their "Psycho Talk" ("The Ed Show" on MSNBC) about "death panels" that never existed or "government takeover" that is not what is happening, and all the other "ogres and bugaboos" depicted by carefully sculpted elephant doo-doo will soon be proven FALSE as more and more Americans from all walks of life begin to benefit. Once the "fix" reforms from the passed House version (currently being presented one at a time in the Senate and already passed in the House on the very same night that they passed our historical health care and insurance reforms by an all-Democrat majority vote), and as each one of these additions is added to the signed-into-law legislation, we just might have ourselves a truly GREAT bill that eliminates the Senate's more controversial additions. This process should be fun to watch for those among us who enjoy strategic maneuvers and political battles (available on C-SPAN2). I'm very proud to be a Democrat these days!

It is historic like when President Wilson signed America over to the European banking cartels and when FDR wrote an executive order forcing individuals to turn in their gold to the said cartel. Progressive policies are tyrannical.

The most historic thing is that obama didn't even bring the bill to the signing ceremony.

    Oh it's historic alright.

Historic doesn't mean good. Pick up a history book. Lots of awful things in there.
