Somebody asked the J.W.'s if they would attend a Palm Sunday meeting in exchange for the upcoming memorial?

the answer is that Palm Sunday has no scriptural basis...the memorial does...

(Matthew 20:28) Just as the Son of man came, not to be ministered to, but to minister and to give his soul a ransom in exchange for many.”

(Luke 22:19) Also, he took a loaf, gave thanks, broke it, and gave it to them, saying: “This means my body which is to be given in YOUR behalf. Keep doing this in remembrance of me.”

Scripture says we are to observe the Lord's Evening Meal. Nothing mentioned about Palm Sunday. I will be there Tuesday to honor the wishes of my King and his Father.

If you showed me where Jesus commanded us to celebrate Palm Sunday, I'd be the first one to climb the tree to cut down some branches (Vot loves climbing trees!!!)

But by no means is Vot "exchanging" the Memorial for ANYTHING! (Luke 22:19)
