Why can't you vote for American Idol on-line?

We were able to vote on-line last year. Why did they drop that option?

    So many people vote (millions) their server can't handle it. It knocks the server out and it crashes.

    It was probably abused by some people.

    Also it's easier to hack and that would be bad.
