Update with a question of course?
I'm 7 weeks, have had multiple losses, and just went in for my first scan today. I was so nervous, but luckily I had a lovely tech who let my husband come in with me, and 30 seconds into the scan she turned to me and said "everything is perfect".
Little bub is measuring perfect, heartbeat is perfect, yolk sac is perfect, everything was clear, and looked amazing. Bub is cute, the ultrasound tech agreed. So as of right now, everything is perfect, next scan will be same time next week. I had a blood test too, but wont find out my hcg levels until later today.
Now question. I've been having trouble keeping down my prenatal vitamin. Morning sickness has gotten the best of me, and once it start to desolve my stomach wants nothing to do with it. So I've been breaking it into 3 parts and taking them throughout the day during any point where the nausea settles down. It's working, but it's not ideal, so any other way's to cope with morning sickness when taking prenatals?
Hope everyone is having as lovely of a day as I am.
Just got my hcg levels back, 128,000! Which officially means I don't need anymore beta blood tests!
Ugh, I wish I could just take a prenatal before bed, I tried, and got woken up by my stomach needing to throw up. Throwing up half asleep is way worse than throwing up fully awake. I have been doing the flinstone/folic acid trick on really bad days.
I just can't pick a best answer, it'll have to go to a vote! Thanks ladies.

CONGRATS that is such good news I am so happy for you hun!!!
wonderful news! xxx
as for the prenatals i found taking them in the evening was better after a meal ...morning time it made me sick a couple of times. i switched to 'Solgar' and they are less sick making and much better quality, you can find them in healthfood stores or on amazon, but really take prenatals after you eat dinner so you have a full stomach and its the end of the day that worked for me. NEVER take on an empty stomach.
Congrats again xx

Awwww, I have been thinking of you because i thought your scan was coming up soon!
I am so happy that everything is perfect.
I am afraid that I dont have any advice on what works to keep the pre natal vitamins down. Maybe try taking them with a yogurt as this will help to line your stomach but if you are sick your sick. Some of the vitamin will be absorbed before you vomit so dont stop taking them.
Poor thing. Morning sickness is horrible but yo would probably panic if it stopped!
I have been in hospital for the past 14 days and have just been let home for the weekend, on 24hr bed rest. Have severe pre-ecalampsia. Has been a horrible 2 weeks and she was so weak but the baby is now stronger and all being well I will get her to 35 weeks, so have daily hospital checks for the next 2 weeks as every day is a completetly different day. But I will do it! Just got to keep my blood pressure down for 2 more weeks! At least I will get to see her earlier than I thought!
I won´t be on here so much but please keep me updated. I would love to hear how you are getting on.
Enjoy your pregnancy and your baby growing inside of you.
You are going to be an amazing mummy. x

This is your time to experience pregnancy and mother hood.
Please keep updating I love to know how things are going for you..
I had awful morning sickness from 6 weeks to about 13 weeks. What I did was took the prenatal before bed that way it wont make you sick.. with morning sickness my Dr gave me nausea pills and they helped a lot.. especially at work. I read an artrical and it read that they arent sure why but morning sickness has been a sign of a healthy pregnancy. Not always but it has been. I really am so happy for you..
Good luck Alex! =)

WOW! Good news!!!!!! Glad to hear the tech let your husband come in!
If taking them the way you are works then go for it as long as they are not enteric-coated. I know for me some brands would make me more sick, pregnant or not. Maybe if other remedies don't work you can try another brand. I like the New Chapter Perfect Prenatals because they don't make me sick.
I agree about taking them on a full stomach. Also, a full glass a water helps as does taking them before bed with a small meal.
Congratulations! Grow bub GROW!!!

OOOOH so wonderful!!! I'm so happy to hear about your ultrasound and beta ... I was checking Y!A today to see if you'd posted an update ... I remembered your ultrasound was today!
For the morning sickness + prenatals ... my suggestion is to try Flintstones chewable vitamins and add a folic acid supplement (at least 800mcg). Both my OBs have suggested that when morning sickness got the better of me --- and it really did help.
Congrats again. I'm so psyched!!!

Congrats Alexandra. I was so much wanting this happen for you. I'm so pleased for you. Put your mind at ease and calm down.
I wouldn't worry much about the prenatals. For those woman who have morning sickness so bad, taking them with food is the best trick. Try taking them also with your favorite drink and make sure u don't be sick atleast hours after taking them. So, you'll have to decide when to take them.
Rest assured. Good luck dear.
Happy pregnancy, am sure u'll have fun. Keep posted.

Now, about the prenatal vitamins, I had a friend with the same problem, her Dr told her to take them right before bed. Hope this helps!

Oh wow congratulations....YAYYYY....i'm so glad things worked out for you. It must have been nerve wrecking to step into that office and for the technician to start their process...omg just thinking about it gives me goosebumps...well so glad things are PERFECT.
As to the prenatal vitamins..did you ask you doctor what options you have....did you tell him/her that you've been breaking it into 3 parts....it may not be ideal but it may be ok?
I'm having a better day today...yesterday and the days before i was sooo nauseau and constipated..today i feel like i'm almost myself again..lol.
Well keep us posted on all your progress...

I had the same prenatal issues, what i found works is taking them with dinner at night, the food helps absorb them and makes it easier on your belly
