Do the WWE or World Heavyweight Titles hold any prestige anymore?

This question has nothing to do with Swagger winning as I am happy that he won. The thing that bothers me is the fact that the title changes hands almost every month! In 2009 the WWE championship changed hands 10 times! While ROH has only had 12 world champions in their 8 year history with only one person winning it twice. Why does WWE have so many short title reigns? And whats the point of having guys win the title, only to lose it again in the same night?

It's because of the ppv's being held every month for the most part. Which means that champions defend the title more often than before when someone like Hulk Hogan had it. While Ring of Honor has a different system which means the titles are not defended as often. Most times guys do not win the title and then lose it on the same night. Those are rare occurences. The point of having the title change hands for the most part is to keep up the feuds. For instance Batista wins the belt from Cena, and then in the rematch Cena wins the belt back. Now Batista wants a rematch for the title.

WWE identify each and each of ways because of the fact it is referred to as the WWE identify. notwithstanding if the international Heavyweight Championship has a history of its very own. the international Heavyweight identify dates returned interior the old NWA to WCW days. it is going to continually be the 2d tier identify whilst in comparison with the WWE identify. The WWE identify looks like an entire shaggy dog tale those days, even though it nevertheless has the corporation's history. in spite of the actuality that i might prefer to verify the WWE not have the identify being held by making use of newbies that rapid to the corporation. adult men like Sheamus or Brock Lesnar had that identify way TOO early for their time. i understand that they could desire to make the storyline greater exciting yet come on.

no winning the world title isn't as special as it once was, mainly because Championship reigns don't last as long as they once did, they use to hold titles for 10 months + but now its like if a guy holds it for 3 months its a long time, also because championships are passed back and fourth to the same guy

Cause every time WWE pushes someone they give a world title to him. Like Swagger, CM Punk, Sheamus, etc.

Just because certain stars dont appeal to people it doesnt mean that when they win a World Title that, that particular title doesnt hold prestige anymore. I think that the WWE's World Titles are just as prestigious now as they ever have been.

Last time they gave someone a very long regain (John Cena), everyone ended up hating that person. They do not want to make that mistake again.
