How to uninstall Norton security?

Is there anything special I need to do to un-install my expired Norton security software? I especially want it to stop popping up everyday reminding me to renew.

It is highly advisable to download and install the Norton Removal Tool. Here is the link:

The best way i have found to uninstall Norton is the manual way. You can try the Norton uninstall tool. Sometimes it doesn't work.

    Revo uninstaller.

To me manually works best. Open task manager. Write down every process you see pertaining to Norton. Go into safe mode. You just want safe mode. No net working. Do a file search for Norton. Delete everything you find. Do another file search for Symantec. Delete everything you find. Do a file search for every process you found for Norton or symantec. Run Ccleaner to get the rest. Make sure when your in safe mode that no processes pertaining to Norton are running. Check your task manager. As long as no part of the program is running it can be deleted manually..

i have found that using revo uninstaller will delete anything u have installed completely with nothing left over....its easy to use and really does a good job of deleting even the most difficult things

you should delete from your computer and if it keeps popping up go to the toolbar and click show hidden icons and customize then put hide (on the norton anti virus)...but you really shouldn't uninstall it.
