How do I prolong hair color when I have to shampoo daily? And how often can I color?
I have oily hair so I have to shampoo daily to keep it looking good and non-itchy. I am also allergic to many hair-care products, so it hard to find shampoos etc. that work for me. Can I color less than 6 weeks apart? Any color brands that work best or things to do to my hair before coloring to aid it in taking the color? Any other ideas? Thanks!
BTW i am going from med brown to black.

i have the same type of hair that you do, and from experience:
BEFORE you color do a oil treatment, it can just be putting olive oil in your hair and letting it sit for 30 minutes. do this about 2 days before you color, and it helps the color stay. but once it is colored DO NOT do this, for it will remove the color.
and AFTER you color your hair, wash it with baby shampoo, i kid you not. this is amazing for my sensitive skin and oily hair. and then use a light conditioner, or a small amount of any kind
good luck, i hope i helped :)

Try http://www.pantene.com/en-US/index.jspx -- they have good hypoallergenic products for colored hair. If you shampoo every day, then you should get your hair re-colored three and a half to six weeks apart.
