Which one is worse? A racist, or a gutless racist who hides behind a lie by calming that he/she would do jobs?

To everyone that hates illegals:

I admit that it is unfair to the immigrants that come here legally but, there are a lot of things you all have to consider.

First of all, when the first White "Americans" came to the US they did it illegally as well. They also killed and slaughtered the only true Americans on this continent, the Native Americans.

Atleast be thankful the Mexicans aren't killing you as they hop the border.

No one, other than native Americans, can claim to be a trully legitemate American.

I think that dishonest racists are the worst racists.

Racism is ugly but years ago in the 70's it was only spoken in jest (old git Bernard Manning style) where I lived we never took anything seriously, in America it was a way of life as they openly supported murderers like KKK and still do today. In Britain however the extreme cases of harassment were in the towns and cities rarely people are murdered for their race because that's just not really the style of an average Brit'. Some moan and still do of course at what they imagine and were brainwashed into thinking immigration is a bad thing, but the bitter and twisted will always find something to moan about eh?

If people are brought up with a work ethic because they had to they will just do it anyway, whilst others might be pompous enough to think they should have slaves and believe they really are too posh to get there hands dirty. When any folk are desperate they will work for nothing much because they have no choice or opportunities those go only to the privileged elite, dishonest thieves and full time rogues, that hard-working folk are forced to pay/work for.

We have to remember its not all about race, colour and creed its our status that counts, rich or poor these come in all colours.

Its all hypocritical nonsense really with a good dose of pomp and circumstance.

At worst I fear its a contrived plan to divide communities or just plain ignorance to those who should know better but don't or will not show any humanity regardless, just nasty bast@rds that this society encourages.

I don't know. They are often one in the same but to say that no Americans would do agricultural jobs just isn't so. People in rural areas do their own dirty work. I myself have cleaned horse stalls. Both of my children detassled corn in high school for summer jobs. I never once considered it a racial issue for them to detassle corn. There were all kinds of people who met in one place and rode a bus to the fields everyday. None of us could actually earn a living doing that but it was a nice way for them to earn some extra money. The only way to survive for immigrants doing this work is to have accommodations provided or many living in one home pooling their money.

The US has used migrant workers in agriculture for many years. There used to be records and quotas, paperwork for these people. Now it would seem they just come and don't leave. Now they stay and take construction jobs, meat and poultry processing jobs, landscaping, etc. These were jobs that Americans did (and still do) regularly and made a descent living at it but now the wages have been driven down in many areas. I don't begrudge anybody coming here legally for a better life. I'm proud to live in a country that people can actually do that but when they come here illegally and undercut our quality of life, I believe its time to do something about it.

The spill over of the drug cartels has spread to 260 of our major cities. Some of these people are ruthless criminals as well as being here illegally. Something needs to be done about it or they will just continue to come. Its too bad they have such a good market here for their drugs. Maybe we should deport some US citizen drug users as well. The federal government needs to do their job or more and more states will do it for them.

I'd say the 2nd option. Considering Arizona will be a job seekers market here shortly and at least until the Constitutionality of the law is determined. There will be more than ample opportunities for those claiming they would do the work to actually back their words. I don't see it happening but what better time to prove the rest of us wrong?

Racists are dumb. Though to be fair I think they mean that teenagers would do them, that is teenagers from here. I read that a Mexican day laborer makes 7-8 bucks an hour working the fields. Imagine would a legal resident could command for that job.

You are worse than any racist or your fictional gutless racist. You lack ethics in every sense of the word. They get paid little because they are being exploited due to their illegal status, but apparently you don't care. You also don't seem to understand that they work for less because it is more than they earn in Mexico. They send the money back to Mexico and it goes further there. Americans don't live in Mexico nor are they going to cross the border illegally to live there. Americans live here and pay the higher living costs. Costs that increase due to all of the free crap they have to pay for because illegal immigrants are here.

I've actually worked side by side with illegals, although I didn't know their status until the company was raided by ICE. You're argument is moot. There are many, many, many people who are legal US citizens willing to do whatever job is available as long as it allows us to provide for our families.

So according to you, toilets never got cleaned in America before Mexicans started jumping the fence?

Like people who come here illegally, take jobs Americans could have below minimum wage (I thought you liberals were all about worker's rights, but isn't this like slavery?) and then leech off our welfare programs?
