I need to go on the M50 around Dublin, Ireland, late on Thursday afternoon ...?

and don't know the handiest way to pay the toll. I heard I could pay it later in any shop, but would like more info. Could someone please advise me on this? Thanks so much.

Pay at any payzone shop after your journey through the toll plaza (not before), you have two days to pay the normal fee of 3 euro (car) if you forget to pay before the two day deadline your journey will cost 6 euro each way,

Edit: Orla if you are driving a truck the charge will be 5.50 euro, 


my main advice would be 'don't forget' because the penalty will shoot up to 35 euro after a five day loss of memory

Drop into a garage before 8pm the next day and pay the toll, actually it's 6 euro both ways in a car, complete rip off.

The payment system is now handled by a company called "eflow"

I found them very easy to deal with, compared to the last lot, which made a bags of the payment system.
After your journey on Thursday, just ring them next day on locall 1890 50 10 50  and they will take your €3 payment by laser or visa card.

I've never been on the M50 (thankfully) but I found this website which explains about paying the toll by 8pm the next day http://www.payzone.ie/pages/consumer/payzone-products/m50-eflow.php
