How could possibly Americans enter Mexico illegally, be arrested, jailed or discriminated against?

When they don't even need a visa to enter Mexico?

    Due to positively encouragable Patriots and their countries foreign policy, Mexicans are treated as inferior beings as they are mostly poor and the poor (Native Indians with NO basic human rights) smell. Therefore the image is too much like reality for an average self-indulgent, brainwashed Replican who has nice shiney teeth, a big car or two, a house and apparently sweet smelling white @ss which of course smells of anything but bigoted self-importance.

    As ignorant as it is race is definitely an aspect due to ironic variables but even more so is the smell of poverty associated with them, and this probably just gives the rednecks an excuse they need to be pompous and arrogant.

    And maybe they are scared of folk they don't know but don't want to accept others circumstance and the original core of the discontent, mainly rooted in their governments foreign policies from America's genocidal past but that's yet another story we should all not forget.....

    Source(s): General tales of Federal abuse, slavery, land grabbing and blatant theft.....all covered up with a very thick layer of deception, corruption and propaganda. And they should not have been neglected causing the problems to spiral but they were in fact meant to make money for the rich and confuse the peasants to purposely divide causing the discord today.

    It is not so much what the government of Mexico is doing to US Citizens but what the citizens of Mexico are doing to US citizens. The government of Mexico is not protecting us and is so corrupt that they are also much of the problem. But you still need papers to enter Mexico from your source.

    All U. S. citizen travelers are required to enter Mexico with a valid passport book for air travel. For land and sea travel a valid passport card or valid passport book is necessary. Closed loop cruise passengers will also require either a valid passport book or valid passport card for entrance into Mexico. This requirement went into effect March 1, 2010.

    Americans Being Kidnapped, Held and killed in Mexico

Who are often the same people who may have been crossing the border into US towns that are corridors for the Mexican drug cartels smuggling routes—esp. Tijuana /San Diego, Juarez/El Paso Laredo/McAllen, Nogales/Nogales, Palomus/Columbus and other U.S. Mexican border towns and cities.

    Mexico, which annually deports more illegal aliens than the United States does, has much to teach us about how it handles the immigration issue. Under Mexican law, it is a felony to be an illegal alien in Mexico.

    At a time when the Supreme Court and many politicians seek to bring American law in line with foreign legal norms, it’s noteworthy that nobody has argued that the U.S. look at how Mexico deals with immigration and what it might teach us about how best to solve

    our illegal immigration problem. Mexico has a single, streamlined law that ensures that foreign visitors and immigrants are:

    • in the country legally;

    • have the means to sustain themselves economically;

    • not destined to be burdens on society;

    • of economic and social benefit to society;

    • of good character and have no criminal records; and

    • contributors to the general well-being of the nation.

    The law also ensures that:

    • immigration authorities have a record of each foreign visitor;

    • foreign visitors do not violate their visa status;

    • foreign visitors are banned from interfering in the country’s internal politics;

    • foreign visitors who enter under false pretenses are imprisoned or deported;

    • foreign visitors violating the terms of their entry are imprisoned or deported;

    • those who aid in illegal immigration will be sent to prison.

    Who could disagree with such a law? It makes perfect sense. The Mexican constitution strictly defines the rights of citizens -- and the denial of many fundamental rights to non-citizens, illegal and illegal. Under the constitution, the Ley General de Población, or

    General Law on Population, spells out specifically the country's immigration policy

    Right now they are too busy killing each other to be concerned about things, Mexico has one of the most corrupt governments in the Americas.

    Of course if you had ever been to Mexico, than you would know that money talks in Mexico and the police are crooked & easily bribed.

    Get arrested with no money and you are in for a miserable experience, as their jails are not so luxurious as those in the US or Europe.

  • im guessing you have no idea about current events.

    and the imitation of paul who thought you asked a good question.

    you need a passport to enter Mexico and Canada for quite some time now.

    NOOO mexico isnt racist at allll. Mexico is the only country where a White immigrant Spainard was elected PRSIDENT.

    where Rich Spainards migrat to keep the political system and presidentcy white.

    where their law specificlly says They can halt immigration if it will upsect the demographics of an area.

    where if your black and born in a sourthern mexico GHETTO you are still considered illegal. which has been going on for GENERATIONS.

    NOT RACIST AT ALL

    Try this, put one bullet in your pocket, then cross into Mexico without showing any ID or passport. You will be locked up in a Mexico prison for at least ten years, unless you can pay several thousand dollars in bribes.

    Fail.

    You need a visa to enter Mexico. Have for a long time. Usually you can get it at the border.

    edit:

    For those saying you don't need a visa, but do need a passport:

    THAT STAMP THEY PUT IN YOUR PASSPORT IS THE VISA.

    thank you.

  • 1 decade ago

    you don't need a Visa, but you do need a passport. You also must carry it on you at all times. If stopped in Mexico by police and you can not verify your status, you can be jailed for up to two years.....unless of course they rape and beat you instead...or you can always bribe them....
