What can soda (Such as Dr. Pepper/Pepsi/Coke) do to your stomach?
I don't care about weight stuff because I'm already fit and exercise everyday, I'm talking about what unhealthy things it can do to your stomach. Detailed facts would be nice. :] I mostly drink Dr. Pepper, so more facts on that drink would be more helpful. Thank you!

The Sugar and flavoring is junk, but if you work out, this is good.
As for the Carbon Dioxide, well

DR. Pepper is a great drink, and A&W Root Beer is great for the late night snack (no caffeine)
With all things you eat, they produce gases during break down stage, and you will need to release the gases your stomach acid and the foreign object produce.
Sugar is burned off rather fast.
If you get heartburn after drinking your DR., you need to pay attention to that.
I can drink some sodas, but not others, cause I get heartburn, and that is just due to an over active acid production problem I have, but if it hits your esophagus, then that can cause a long turn physical problem.
Not sure you will find facts on soda from any company, besides the fact that it's carbon and sugar based, and it's not bad, but water and milk are much better, although if a cow is drinking root beer, then what is her milk going to taste like?
Hahaha.

Well read the ingredients. If it contains high fructose corn syrup in place of real sugar, this is bad. Some high fructose corn syrup is known to contain levels of mercury. Mercury as you probably know is a poison! Who knows what it could do to your stomach over time, probably nothing good.

well if you are refering to your actuall stomach (the organ) too much can break down the mucus lining of you stomach causing the acid to burn the stomach walls and give you very very painful ulsers but other than that not much whereas weight wise should be no problem if you exercise everday
