Mchale, since he started off as a player coming of the bench and still won the Sixth Man award. In addition, he has 3 rings and formed a deadly frontline with Bird and Parrish. KG, on the other hand, spent many years on a bad team (The T'Wolves) before coming to Boston.
McHale, in 970+ games, had over 17000 points, 1600+ blocks and over 7000 rebounds in addition to 3 rings and is a hall-of famer.
KG (also a hall-of-fame candidate), in 1124 games, has 22000 points, 12000+ rebounds and 1798 blocks with one ring.
You tell me if that is comparable?

Kevin Garnett has the better career but he has only been on the Celtics for 3 years. McHale is the better Celtic but overall Garnett is better counting his T'wolves days.
