the domain of Square root(4-x^2)
if you are standing at point a and you see point b at N 30o W then move 50 yards perpendicularly to line AB to point c and look and point b and see it at N 57o W. What is the length of line AB
why is can it not be 2 or -2 i dont get why you cant get the square root of 0
what i mean is....why cant you get an imaginary number? as long as you dont get an undefined

1) The domain of √(4 - x²) is
(-∞, -2) U (2, ∞)
or
-2 ≤ x ≤ 2
2) If you are standing at point A and you see point B at 30° NW, then move 50 yards perpendicularly to line AB to point C and look and point B and see it is at 57° NW. What is the length of line AB?
That gives us
Angle B = 30°
Angle C = 57°
Line AC = 50 yards
We can find line AB by using trigonometric functions. In this case, we should use tan x because tan x is defined as opposite/adjacent. Now, we plug in and solve
tan 57° = x/50
50 tan 57° = x
x = 76.99324819 ≈ 77 yards
