Why do you think Dr M is still adamant about building the crooked bridge?

Do you think it is based on his National interest, his personal interest or he just want to see it being built because he started the whole idea before he leaves this world for heaven.

Young Malaysian please give your honest views

What makes you think any politician will naturally head for heaven from here? Was told it is very hard to make it there, especially hypocrites and have you seen one politician who is not one ? I think the simple logic is, to be a top politician one has to be a top hypocrite. Consider the talk of "discard your crutches" pitch and yet the continuous feeding of the cronies ? It was a "bikin tak macam cakap" as we all know. But lets all hope as many as possible will see the light, repent, undo what needs undoing and find the way to heaven. (Though it takes a big man to be able to overcome the "justifications" one has in his mind for all his wrongs)

Back to the original question, my personal view is that Dr M has a deep desire to always have things his way around here. I think that he must have deep resentment for Singapore to be allowed separation from Malaysia in the 60s. And when LKY, who was given the opportuntiy to prove his policy on meritocracy to be right would not hear of it, he must have flipped. Remember when we moved our time zone ahead by half hour and Singapore moved likewise, he must have felt pretty good. This time round when Singapore did not see the merit of destroying the causeway he must have felt great resentment to be challenged by that "dot" on the map. It must have become a personal war and he just cannot lose and when AB who was chosen by him stood in the way, suddenly it was "justified" to force AB out. Anyway it was a great shame that AB did not stick to his anti corruption stance firmly. Now for the sake of all rational non-crony Malaysians, lets hope NAR will honour his NEM pledges and reduce his chances of being forced out similarly, as I don't think he is too convinced of this crooked bridge too.

The old man is going to be the worst PM ever in Malaysia history. he may think he is great however a fool to many. The crooked bridge is his personal idea with evil and personal motives against Singapore. He will continue to bark for the bridge.
