Should Miguel Cabrera be fired for messing up Galarraga's perfecto?
Donald's grounder was hit directly to Guillen, if Cabrera does not ridiculously go after that ball its a routine 4-3 play and Galaragga gets no hitter. Instead it became a close play at 1B.
Fire Cabrera and then give him at a minimum a lifetime suspension.

Don't blame Miguel Cabrera for messing up Galarraga's perfecto. BLAME Jim Joyce, the umpire. Galarraga got robbed by Jim Joyce.

seriously? He wouldn't have made that play in the 2nd inning, but given the pressure Cabrera is under, it was only instinct that led him to the ball. He was trying to do everything possible to get that final out. It's easy for us to see that if he doesn't make a play on it the 2nd baseman has it with ease, but the moment was too important for Cabrera to just sit there and hope the 2nd baseman makes the play. I don't blame Cabrera at all. 99/100 he lets the 2nd baseman get it, but given the circumstances you can understand why he did it. The play wasn't even close tho. He was out by a full step.

No you can't fire players only Managers and General Managers and Umpires like Jim Joyce not Miguel Cabrera's Fault at all.

Umpire Jim Joyce has already made a public apology for making an incorrect call and costing the young pitcher a perfecto.

NO!
Just because he was about to have a perfect game doesnt mean the umpire was any worse than any other call.

That makes no sense.
Cabrera got it there in time. It was Joyce who screwed up. He even admitted to messing up the game!

So basically you're saying: Let's fire the top slugger on our team because he made a play the the umpire failed to correctly call.
Sounds good.
