How to take off a foam bike tire?
I have a bent rim on my bike, and I just got a replacement. I originally had put one of those foam tube tires on there, and now that I have the new rim I can't get the foam tube off of the old one to save my life! I'd hate to damage it while trying to take it off. Any suggestions? Thanks!

It may be on there for the duration,. Save you money this time and get a set of flat protectors. They are heavy lengths of platic sized like you tubes, the fit between the tire and tubes, They last for a liffe time, and protect your tires from thorns, glass and metal splinters far better, and lees mess than the foam / gu filled tubes or kevlar tires!
If you insist on one last try, give it a go with your tire irons like you would do on your tires to get them off the rim.

I would scrub the tires with dish detergent and take it real slow on turns for a while. You may want to go to a parking lot and practice tight figure 8's until the tireshine is gone. One hour of 20 foot figure 8's should do it.
