Is my Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller compatible with a 2010 computer?

I have a 2002 Gateway E-2000 but it runs slow with 1022 Mb of memory and I was told that's the highest I can go and adding RAM won't increase the speed. So, if I get a new 2010 tower, do I have to change out my Gateway FPD1520 Monitor with it's Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV graphics controller? I would like to keep my peripherals and only change out the tower if possible. Is it possible? I have 40.02 G hard drive on this now with an Intel 82801DB Ultra ATA Storage Controller 24CB. My RAM is DDR.memory.

Update:

Thank you both for your answers. I can now go get more RAM instead of thinking about trading out my computer. And thank you for letting me know about my peripherals.

Actually your Gateway E-2000 supports up to 2GB of RAM"

    Gateway E-2000 Series Desktop/PC

    # Maximum Memory: 2048MB

    # Slots: 2 (2 banks of 1)

    # Standard Memory: 128, 256, or 512MB removable

    # USB Support: 1.x Compliant

but you only have 2 slots so you more than likely have 512MB in each slot. Only way to upgrade to 2GB is to buy 2 1GB sticks and toss the 512MB sticks

Yes, you can change out your computer without having to buy new peripherals. I think that graphics card your talking about is integrated with your motherboard so you will not be able to transfer that video card over.

CG's right, that system can use up to 2GB of PC2100 (DDR 266) memory. 1GB per slot. The graphics controller you mentioned is a chipset on the motherboard inside the computer, it's not part of the monitor. The monitor can be connected to any system you want, a new system will automatically locate and install the drivers for your monitor as soon as you connect it to the internet.

in case you already personal the cardboard you could verify if it has 2 computer screen ports if it does it may take care of it. in case you do not have the cardboard google it less than "features of Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV photographs controller " that ought to boost somethings.
