The "Super Volcano" you may have heard about may refer to the magma chamber underneath Yellowstone National Park - which last erupted hundreds of thousands of years ago or more.
There is absolutely no evidence that it is ready to erupt again soon. Even if it did, it would be catastrophic and cause destruction to much of the USA - it would not end the world or life on it.

Yellowstone is a huge volcano which could destroy many lives. It is massive and i emphasis massive. The scariest part is that it is now 50,000 years overdue erupting working on how regularly it has erupted in the past. Could happen tomorrow.
