What would be so bad about a new world order?

For so many years now, everyone, both the left and the right, have been fighting and dreading a "new world order" like it's the end of all life on earth.

But just what would be so bad about it. If all the nations in the world came together, wouldn't that be the end of war and political aggression?

Even the bible itself tells of a new world order under one benign dictator, jesus christ. and people are counting the seconds until that day

Update:

well, so far no legitimate answers. just two that suggest "cause the almighty USA won't be big bad boss of the world"

    1. All the power rested in the hands of a few always corrupts men completely...the people at the top get all the money and power and the people at the bottom of the food chain starve to death...read history dude, it never ends well to let a few men who think they know it all to control and have all the power over everyone else...

    2. Men are created equal, but they don't stay that way...Men create their own destinies, there will always be those who are lazy, incompetent, unwilling to work who wish to take from those who do...that is not fair, it is not equal...that is theft by government.

    3. You can't have a benign MAN as a dictator over all because men are fallable, sinful, greedy and wrong headed...so you don't want to put men in charge...until GOD returns, there is no man suitable for such a job...there is nobody out there who is not selfish and self serving.

    4. There is no way to get all men and women to agree on anything, religion, a system of government, etc.etc.etc. that is why you see the diversity in the world...there will always be mad men who want control over someone else...your utopia can't work, has never worked, and creates more problems than it will ever solve... IT is best to let people have the FREEDOM to gravitate towards the systems of government and religious sects that make them happy, instead of forcing everyone into a one size fits all...

ok first of all most of the people that answerd wrote complete bullsh!t... stop bashing the u.s.a. , they arent half as bad as most people from other parts of the world think.

there is alot more corruption in other countries than there is in the USA AND if not so rich countries COULD , they would start alot more wars then USA.

i say nations should thank them for tryng to keep a hold on things , and if they're not tryng THEY are still managing.

ok now about the new world order.

there isn't one yet , BUT THERE SHOULD BE.

people shouldnt be free to do what they want , this freedom is also complete bullsh!t.

i uphold the death penalty for some crimes and it should be implemented on THE HOLE FUKING GLOBE,. thus having a united world government that watches out for these things I FOR ONE would apreciate, and so should every human being that has nothing to hide and nothing to be ashamed of.

For this to be posible corruption would had to be 0 WORLDWIDE(so u wont be sentenced to death for a crime you didnt comit for example), wich is imposible to achieve at least 200 years from now.(no facts , just a gues).

anyway what i wrote is also complete bullsh!t , as man is not capable of 0 corruption, as man is imperfect.

so yea the only way for a working NWO , would have to be run by a 100 % pure person , like jesus :p

Who is to be at the helm of this New World Order? What current world leaders will stand down and relinquish their power? What are the chances of them coming to an agreement on the best economic/political/social/class system to establish? What's to be done if a nation disagrees with a leadership decision and feels slighted? What happens when that nation attempts to secede or initiates military action in opposition? Kumbaya and eternal world peace and togetherness is a pipe dream, plain and simple.

Because if you had 195 nations turned into 1 nation representation would suffer

Do you really imagine a NWO would have a United States Czar/Commissioner/President/Minister?

    No

The US would probably be so bashed in any one world government we would get the short end of the straw as we paid for everything

Just look at the UN, the bill we pay and how many General Secretaries we have had in the UN's history

The idealistic circumstances you describe can only be achieved by the One you mention.

Any attempt by man to bring it about will end in disaster. Those pushing for it now have no appreciation for the ideals of freedom, individual self determination and American exceptionalism.

There is a New World Order, just look around you. Just about every president has talked about it or just said we need a New World Order.

I don't think its as impossible as some people think it is. Look at the USA. The diversity of culture and views that span our borders is very impressive yet you don't see Nevada going to war with Utah. It can be done.

we just have to sit back and watch the USA go down the pan, everything will be fine then, not long now 3-5 years tops

silly little colonials, they will never learn

There is no "New World Order." It was a line in some stupid speech made by George HW Bush, nothing more. It is really funny how that speech has become such big time fodder for the tin foil hat brigade.
